Modern Residential Complex with Social Diversity
In the Wolfartsweier district of Karlsruhe, weisenburger bau GmbH has developed the new residential quarter Wolfsgrün. Situated on a plot of 8,110 m², the project includes eight buildings with a total of 62 residential units – 15 of which are subsidized rental apartments, alongside 47 privately owned condominiums. The quarter also integrates a medical practice, a senior living community with twelve rooms, and a daycare center with four groups. All buildings feature basement levels with storage, utility, waste disposal rooms, bicycle parking, and access to an underground garage.
Sustainability and Architecture
The design follows the principles of Bauhaus architecture, emphasizing light, air, and sun. Spacious, floor-to-ceiling windows create bright and welcoming living spaces. At the same time, the development meets the highest ecological standards: planning was carried out in accordance with the German Building Energy Act (GEG 2023). The buildings also comply with the criteria of the federal funding program for efficient buildings (BEG), achieving the Effizienzhaus 55 standard with modern, energy-saving building services and high-quality insulation.
Living on the Edge of Nature
Wolfsgrün is located on the outskirts of Wolfartsweier, offering scenic views over gardens, meadows, and open fields. Its immediate proximity to the Black Forest invites residents to enjoy walks, hikes, and cycling. At the same time, the excellent connection to Karlsruhe ensures access to all the benefits of urban infrastructure.
