We build affordable homes

The weisenburger terraced house

What makes a weisenburger terraced house so special? Great for families, long-lasting, with a practical layout and generous floor space: there are lots of ways to describe a modern terraced house. Customised interior design within set dimensions creates a cosy home. Or a stable investment.

Are you at that stage in your life when you are mulling over the idea of turning the dream of your own home into a reality? Are you thinking about getting out of the rental market and instead buying a property to make an investment in your future? A decision of this magnitude is not one you make every day. There is lots to think about during this phase. You will need to discuss your future plans and what you want out of life; work out your finances; think hard about the type of home and furnishings you want; and weigh up the location of your new home. And weisenburger will help you navigate the whole thing.

No prefabricated houses here: weisenburger builds brick by brick

A terraced house represents the dream of an affordable home. It is a popular and affordable housing format in both urban and rural areas. The way terraced houses are built makes maximum use of the available space, which is often limited. Well connected to the local infrastructure, terraced house owners usually have access to extensive shopping facilities, nurseries, schools and public transport options.

A terraced house offers fantastic quality of life at affordable prices and is particularly popular among young couples and families. In most cases, it will have a garden, a patio or a roof terrace. And, depending on the building project in question, it will often have a cellar, garage or carport too. Running a home with such an efficient living space does not take up an unreasonable amount of time. Plus, the energy and running costs for terraced houses are considerably lower than for detached homes.

Turnkey construction

We will hand over your house ready for you to move in. The building specification serves as the basis for the subsequent contract. At weisenburger, turnkey means that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems have been installed, the bathrooms, staircases and floor coverings are in place and all the painting and decorating has been done. It also includes other elements such as windows, doors, service connections and so on.

We will bring all our experience to bear on your project, meaning you will benefit from certain costs and a reliable schedule.

A reliable schedule

We stick to the contractually agreed construction time, allowing our customers to budget with certainty and prepare for their move. The journey to your terraced house:

What you can expect if you build with weisenburger

1. Your dream property and the conditions for construction

Once you have decided on your dream property, we will lay all the foundations for building or buying your own home. It is important to note that the house types are already fixed in the building project and cannot be freely selected. Your task is to decide on a specific project or house and to secure the funds you will need.

2. Purchasing land & legal foundations

You conclude a purchase contract before a notary for the plot of land your future terraced house will stand on and make the associated payment. The notary then makes the entry in the land register and you become the owner of that land. Alternatively a project can be set up under a commonhold arrangement where the customer acquires a share in some areas of a building and full ownership of their own individual property. In both variants, the contract for work and the purchase contract for the land or the acquisition of individual ownership must be concluded at the same time at an appointment with a notary.

3. Building materials samples & start of building

After the appointment with the notary, you view our building materials samples. You have a meeting at our baustein building materials display centre, where you select all the furnishing elements you want to have in your home. You can obtain our special request catalogue, which contains fixed prices and has been created for your specific building project, from our sales department. At the samples appointment, you go through and plan your home furnishings piece by piece. For example, you decide on your floor coverings and sanitary fittings. You can also visit our baustein building materials display centre and take a look around on your own before your appointment.

After the building permit has been issued, the construction of your new home begins.

4. The construction phase

A member of the technical customer care team will be at your side throughout the entire construction phase. Together, you will visit the construction site at regular intervals; three inspections are scheduled as standard. We must point out that independent site inspections are not possible. This is to ensure your safety and for liability reasons. Site visits with your technical customer advisor usually take place once the exterior work is complete, after the screed has been laid and approximately two to four weeks before the final inspection.

5. Handing over keys & moving in

It’s time: your house is ready – you have completed the final inspection! Final inspection will take place with your technical customer advisor and a publicly appointed and sworn expert. Once the final invoice has been paid, you will receive the keys to your house. We will also give you all the necessary documents relating to your home, which include recommendations for maintenance contracts and insurance. You can use our specially developed service app to communicate with weisenburger during the warranty period.
