Yesterday, weisenburger bau Gmbh opened its doors to a special guest: Spot, the robot from Boston Dynamics, which the Research Centre for Information Technology (FZI) is using for a research project.  The construction site team accompanied the robot around the construction site in Karlsruhe-Rintheim to support the research institute's tests. They presented interesting use cases and discussed how robotics can be used specifically on construction sites. The robot demonstrated its versatility by climbing stairs, walking over cables and pallets, gripping objects and extending itself up to 1.50 metres.
