With the sale of an extensive residential and commercial project in Freiburg, weisenburger projekt GmbH has succeeded in closing a significant deal in what is currently a challenging market environment. At a time when institutional investors are showing considerable restraint, this sale underscores the attractiveness of the project and the strength of weisenburger as a reliable partner in project development.

The climate friendly residential quarter combines 129 residential units and seven commercial units. Particularly noteworthy are the 70 socially subsidized rental apartments, which were realized as part of the L-Bank funding program under the State Housing Promotion Act (Landeswohnraumförderungsgesetz - LWoFG). They are subject to occupancy restrictions for 40 years and offer rents that are around 40 percent below the local average. The quarter thus makes an important contribution to affordable housing.

The future-oriented residential building comprises around 7,750 m² of living space and approximately 1,400 m² of commercial space on a 5,389 m² plot. It also meets the KfW 40 standard and is certified with the Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings (QNG). Energy is supplied by groundwater heat pumps and a photovoltaic system.

The climate-friendly neighborhood offers 118 parking spaces for cars and 323 parking spaces for bicycles, thus supporting the urban mobility transition.

“Given the current virtual standstill in the market for large-scale investments, we are particularly proud of this successful sale,” says Managing Director Sven Müller. It confirms not only the high quality of the project, but also the reliability and market proximity of weisenburger projekt as an experienced project developer.
