With the “Löwentor” project, weisenburger bau GmbH has created a vibrant urban district in a central location of Emmendingen that modernly combines living, working, and lifestyle.
On the site of the former department store Krauss, a multifunctional complex has been developed featuring 38 rental apartments and attractive commercial spaces that sustainably revitalize the city center. The apartments range in size from 27 to 111 square meters, offering living options for various lifestyles—from compact one-room apartments to spacious family homes. Bright rooms, modern fittings, and predominantly barrier-free access ensure a high level of living comfort. Balconies, roof terraces, and a communal rooftop garden expand the living space.
The district meets the KfW Efficiency House 55 standard and is equipped with a photovoltaic system for self-sufficient electricity generation. Bicycle parking spaces and the traffic-calmed location contribute to a future-oriented mobility concept. At the same time, connectivity is excellent, with the train station within walking distance and close proximity to federal highway B3 and motorway A5, providing quick connections to the region and Freiburg.
As the general contractor, weisenburger bau was responsible for the turnkey implementation of the project and played a key role in the future-oriented development of this historic site.
